Tesla Gaia Review

This product has been discontinued from sales and replaced with newer models.

The Tesla Gaia is a mechanical mod that offers big clouds of vapor and a really beautiful design. This mod isn’t given the credit it deserves in the ecig world and I think it’s because most people haven’t discovered it yet. From the first second I saw it, I was just really impressed with the design and after I started using it, I was still a big fan.

The first thing you notice about the Tesla Gaia is the design. It’s a sleek stainless steel with laser engraving on the outside. It’s got a lot of intricate details and it’s honestly the most beautiful mod in my collection. When I first held it, I was surprised at the weight! This is a heavy mod and it’s definitely sturdy.

You can use this mod with 18350 or 18650 batteries. There are adjustable pins and battery housing so you can really customize it exactly the way you want it. While you could technically use 510 and ego series tanks, I would recommend that you stay away from cheap plastic tanks with bottom coils or clearomizers. This mod runs hot so it’s best paired with a RBA (rebuildable drip atomizer) or RTA (rebuildable tank atomizer).

One of the most unique features of the Gaia Tesla is the firing button. It is located on the bottom and to activate it, you just press in on the base. At first, this felt a little awkward and uncomfortable, but after a few minutes, I got used to it and now I actually prefer the bottom firing design. It’s really intuitive to just wrap your pinkie finger underneath and press it when you are ready to take a drag.

There is a built in locking ring to keep the bottom button from firing when you sit the mod down. You activate this lock by turning it counter clockwise. My only real complaint with this mod is that the lock occasionally gets stuck in place and the only way I can get it to unlock is to take the whole thing apart, which is time consuming and pretty annoying. Thankfully this doesn’t happen very often, but it’s definitely something to be aware of.

In terms of use, the Gaia Tesla vapes like a monster. It has incredible airflow and gives a great hit. While it won’t be right for everyone, it’s definitely a good choice for the advanced user who wants to explore the mechanical category. Because it’s heavy, this won’t be a good option to carry with you to work or to the bar, but it’s a great vape to keep by the sofa for vaping while you watch movies or surf the internet. All things considered, I’m a big fan of this mod and I think it’s definitely a good vape, ranking well above average.
